Refund and Cancellation Policy
Provider: Carbynix, LLC, a Virginia limited liability company. Contact: support@carbynix.com.
1. Scope
This policy applies to purchases of Carbynix Managed Detection and Response services, service tiers, and add-ons made through the Carbynix customer portal (portal.carbynix.com) and the Carbynix website, paid through Stripe. It works together with the Subscription and Billing Terms and your Order; if your negotiated Order says something different, the Order controls.
2. Recurring subscription fees
Recurring subscription fees are paid in advance and are non-refundable, and Carbynix does not provide prorated refunds for a partial billing period when you cancel. Your service continues through the end of the period you have paid for.
If a charge was clearly made in error (for example, a duplicate charge or a charge after a timely, confirmed cancellation), we will refund it.
3. One-time and scoped services
One-time items and scoped engagements, such as incident-response hour blocks, penetration testing, and project or advisory work, are non-refundable once the work has begun or the reserved time has been scheduled, and refundable before work begins, less any costs already incurred. Scoped services are described in an Order or statement of work before work starts.
4. How to cancel
You may cancel at any time, in the portal using the cancellation control, or by emailing support@carbynix.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your then-current billing term, and you will not be charged for the next term. We provide an online, same-medium cancellation path so that you can cancel the same way you signed up, consistent with state automatic-renewal laws. See the Subscription and Billing Terms, section 4, for renewal and cancellation details.
5. How to request a refund
Email support@carbynix.com with your account and the charge in question. We will respond within a reasonable time and, where a refund is due, process it to your original payment method through Stripe.
6. Before you dispute a charge
If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us first so we can resolve it quickly. Filing a chargeback before contacting us can suspend your account while the dispute is investigated.
7. Required disclosures at checkout
Because your subscription renews automatically, at checkout we disclose, next to a separate consent control, that billing recurs, how often, at what price, and how to cancel, and we keep a record of your acknowledgment. See the Subscription and Billing Terms and the auto-renewal disclosure presented at checkout.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The version in effect when you place or renew an Order applies to that term. Material changes are notified to you.
